“Do you think of me as often as I think of you?” is a sculpture created from 4 years of documenting family and friends, in an effort to better connect and become more of an active participant in the lives of those I care for. While initially developing towards a series of portraits, my family felt uncomfortable with the revealing of family secrets in such a direct manner. Taking this into heart, I took the film negatives and created a house-like form with the negatives around a light bulb. When looking closely, you can see faint and overlapped portraits of my loved ones. Home is a safe place in my family.
